Duck Business

I enjoy eating ducks, once in a while. There's something really satisfying about eating a duck. Chickens are so usual, duck is different. I'm making a note about ducks that I've tasted.

Bebek Goreng H. Slamet, Rawamangun.
The taste is very rich. It absorbed very nicely within the meat. It's quite salty but I have a thing for salty food, so I loved it. I didn't taste the chili but my dad said it was very hot. You'll also find otak-otak, which was quite good but small...

Bebek Ginyo
I think everyone knows this place. It offers various ducks. But I always choose Bebek Kremes or Bebek Panggang. I don't like chili and hot sauce. My tongue can't resist the overwhelming taste. So anyway, I like this one, too. The interior is very vintage and homey.

Bebek Bengil
The best of the best. I was lucky enough to enjoy it in Bali, overlooking a beautiful rice field, for free. *thank God*. It was very very good. Top of the line. The portion fits; not too light; not too heavy. But I warn you, it's very expensive. I wonder if rich people come to the restaurant, with fancy clothes or just regular clothes? I mean, they still have to get their hands dirty right?
