Sweet Treat

Yoooohoooo yes I'm finally back in my humble home in Cipinang, after spending my first week away in Depok. After a general lecture, I immediately packed my laundry and went back to my Jakarta. A week there thought me a lot of things and new set of rules:
1. After fourteen years by car, now I go to campus on foot
2. I eat 'warteg' almost everyday, which is totally cheap compared to what I usually eat in Jakarta
3. I have to do chores I definitely didn't do for throughout my childhood: sweep, mop, scrub my bathroom and toilet, do the dishes, every other day. pheww :P


So enough about college (the euphoria is still on my head) I went to Epicentrum, lunch at Brussels Spring. It is a chocolaterie and dessert parlour as well as a fusion restaurant. Throughout the week I realize I didn't eat much meat, which was super plus so I ordered my biggest indulgent: pasta and chocolate.

If you read my previous posts, I actually have been to Brussels Spring Bandung, at Jalan Sumatera last month. But I didn't try the main meal so here they are.

Belgian Chocolate Milkshake. What a pleasure! Chocolate have that feel good effect, perfect to end the busy week. I love every drip of this shake. No guilty feelings here, I needed the boost :P One thing that struck me was how creamy the whipped cream. It actually tasted like cream, not just some fake tasteless topping. I loved it. This is 20k.

As always I order cream sauce pasta, this time was Spaghetti Ala Brussels Spring, with beef, mushrooms, red and green bellpeppers and onions. Coated with a layer of cheese, it was awesome! The portion was just right and I think the pepper added an exotic taste that made it very good, not just a plain cream, which if you eat too much will end up somewhat nauseous. Pastas go for 40k-60k.

Brussels Spring Jakarta is located at Rasuna Epicentrum Ground Floor. I have to warn you the space is not very large, but perfect for get-together or just enjoying ice cream on a sunny day.

Renewed Power

Hey, it's been well after a week after my last post. here's some life update, from the desk of Hana.
-It was my high school PROM on Wednesday.

I had a good time spent with my best buddies, Amelia, Jess, Loren and Patricia. Amelia and I are going to UI but Loren is going to NAFA, Singapore. Gosh, she's leave in July, before my birthday. ; ( hope Jess and Patricia can join us at UI. Good luck! Anyway, everyone was so cool with their proper suits and amazing dressing, their hair-dos, too. Well, prom itself was a little boring but it's fun to have reason to put on a dress and make-up right? Hey, high school is finally over.

-I watched Sidney Mohede Live Recording on Thursday, after being picked up at church after my 'KoRem' meeting. It was also very cool. The collaborations were awesome, with Maya Hasan, Andi Riyanto and a orchestra and choir. I have to watch more of these kind of concerts.

-I watched Shrek Forever After on Friday. Well, I think the story is 'just okay'. I didn't remember laughing on any scenes. But since it's Shrek and it's the last one, you have to watch it. Plus, I ate Burger King. It's the highlight of my week, junk food with plenty of chilli sauce and the best beef patty, ever, with reasonable prices.

It's true the coastal things attracts me because the shade of blue I love so much, navy, dark blue. I found this awesome white and blue anchor bag. I want it so much! Isn't it nice?

Ending

Graduation was on last Saturday, had a blast seeing everyone in beautiful suits and kebaya. Mine is a white and blue modern kebaya, very casual and simple, just the way I like it. I rented it but some people go all the way tailor made.

I love the details.

It was definitely memorable but nothing special happened. Thank God stupid stuff like a fall or broken heels didn't happened. It was awesome. My English test go the highest score *along with two other people boohoo* but I was happy when my name was called. In the end, we all said farewell to our teachers, gosh, it was such a tear-ry moment.

This is it, man, after three years, it's finally over. Well, prom won't be till May 19th, the last time we are going to see each other in a long time. High School is officially over.

Hot Sunny Day

Oh, today was dreadful. I had a Japanese test earlier and it was a mess. I did very badly I think. And I ran up and down the school, as I am in charge of making letters for the farewell comittee. Oh, this job will never end. Tomorrow I'm having citizenship test; it'll be even more disasterous. How can I learn all those stuff in a night? I don't. But I went out to buy supplies at 7 Eleven at Menteng. I'm having a trip out of town tomorrow.

ooohhhh, slurpee on a hot sunny day. The place is just like the originals abroad. I love the food-to-go stall. Although they are truly expensive. But it's nice to have 7 eleven around here.

Keep Coming

Universal Studios is coming to Singapore.

I can't hardly wait! I love theme parks. Aside from Dufan, I was fortunate enough to visit Hongkong Disneyland a couple of years ago. I love the theme and the rides. I particularly love the fireworks. I almost cried because I've seen it in videos for such a long time and I cherished the moments. Now, Universal Studios is coming to Singapore, near my beloved country. So, this is what I get from the website:

There are SEVEN different areas: Madagascar, inspired by the hit animated movie. I love Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melman, King Julian and those penguins! But it's mainly about children's rides. Far Far Away Land, from Shrek, fille children's rides. The real deal are the LOST WORLD, ANCIENT EGYPT and SCI-FI CITY. Attractions from Waterworld and Jurasic Park, Dual Coasters inspired by Battlestar Galastica, an indoor track with Mummies. Are they awesome or what?

The other two areas are Hollywood and New York City. I can't wait to see the exhibits about the film industry, since it's my deep-down passion.

Body Worlds in Science Center.


I've known about the exhibitions for a while and it finally came here. It'll be going on until next year. For you people who isn't familiar with it, it's an exhibitions of human bodies, REAL preserved human bodies. And I love the Science Center.
I'm thinking about giving away my body after I die to these kind of stuff. It's unique!

Dinner at 7

I usually go bored and upset on Sundays. I'm involved in a youth committee at my church and I have reasons to hate the meetings. It's always at 12 pm, I had to wait for almost two hours and almost always late. Why can't we have the meeting right after the Sunday service? So we can go home earlier. Their reason: Sunday brunch. Seriously? But a dinner at Tony Roma's made my day. But I soon realize the food is costly, very costly.

My dinner: mushroom soup and Caesar salad. The soup is superb. It's almost like blended mushroom!

My mum ordered this: Wagyu Steak. It has a very true taste. The sauce absorb deep within the meat. I think it's the most expensive beef, yes?

Anyway, it's 5 am Monday morning and T-4 days to FORTELATION. I have two exams and a try-out today. Wish me luck. I'll post what I wore tomorrow, maybe.
