Road Trip - 1

I usually don't like road trips: hitting the road, hours on a road that never ends, traffic. Basically, I don't adventures. But I went on a trip to Kuningan with my family. I think I can handle four hours on the road, since I've endured 15 hours to Blora before. Anyway, we were in Pantura and spotted ads of a restaurant called PRINGSEWU.

The food are pre-made that we can choose as soon as we arrived. We chose these.

udang goreng.

kangkung. It was very hot.

gurame bakar. not fresh.

sop buntut. I like anything with broth.

You can find shacks behind the restaurant. But don't expect a sandy beach.

You can get a free map of the roads linking towns in Java. It's actually quite helpful.

We stayed at Tirta Sanita, a three star hotel just outside of Kuningan. It's pretty nice; stayed in a cottage over looking the pool and the mountain. As soon as I saw a pool, I can't wait to swim. When I was in the water I realized I haven't swum in a while and I ended up with aching forearms. Shoot. But the best thing was the TV set had HBO! We watched Indiana Jones all night.

It was new years eve but we were too tired to be excited. I can't sleep because the dreadful sound of exploding fireworks. They were setting fireworks right in front of our cottage. It sounded like a million gunshot fired to the sky! It was very annoying.

The next day, we went to Kuningan Town and Cirebon!
