I rarely watched disaster movies for one reason only: It.Scares.Me.a.LOT.
but I was curious about this one, 2012. I mean, everyone knows about the Mayan Calendar and doomsday MIGHT happen on December 21 2012. So, on Friday my brother and I watched it at Blitz MOI. We were a bit late and the theater was packed. The story mainly revolves around Jackson and his family trying to escape doomsday. Nations around the world, who secretly knew about the day made huge modern version arks to survive it. The goal was to preserve whatever's possible. Animals, art works, people with specific genes, important people, world leaders, and rich people who pain a billion a seat.
The visual effect is awesome. I had goosebumps throughout the movie, and I had a very strong urge to scream. *weird huh?* You can feel a rush of adrenaline, especially the near-death scenes. Nothing but awesomeness.
The special thing was the US President was black (played by Danny Glover), The German Chancellor was female, the Governor of California sounds so much like Arnold!
About the doomsday itself, I get scared if something like that could really happen but NO ONE can predict what's going to happen. If God said it's time to go, it is the time to go.
